It has been another fantastic week of skiing here in Meribel and La Tania after the dump of snow last week! We’ve been embracing the sunshine, cold temperatures and sharpening our ski edges in anticipation of welcoming the Alpine Skiing Europa Cup to Meribel.

We will be reporting on what is going on throughout the week in the Super G, Combined Super G / Slalom and Downhill racing. Keep an eye out on our Twitter @AlpineActionSki and Facebook for the latest news! The programme for the week is as follows:

Monday: Super G
Tuesday: Combined (Super G & Slalom
Wednesday: Downhill training
Thursday: Downhill
Friday: Downhill

The weather forecast is looking great for the event and anyone joining us in the Alps next week. This week light cloud coverage is in the valley until Tuesday. Wednesday on wards the cloud will lift leaving glorious sunshine for the rest of the week. Temperatures stay fairly cold for the first week with highs of – 1 and lows of – 7, wind chill is at – 12, still cold but warmer than last week.

Moving onto next week, we have highs of + 8 degrees and lows of – 9, so warming up slightly towards the end of the month.
