There are a number of bars and clubs in Meribel and Meribel Village, we have given a brief description here of just some, its just not possible to include all and of course you may stumble across your very own little gem, whether it be for après or after dinner. In the last few seasons Meribel has become very popular and now offers a lot more choice in bars and what you are looking for, as far as we know only one bar in Meribel boasts a Non-smoking policy and that is Evolution. If you wish to enjoy a quiet drink then a suggestion would be Grand Coeur Hotel, Meribel’s first and arguably finest hotel, not the cheapest, but well worth treating your self.

Important Warning  - Mutzig 7% + Old Lager

Be warned the Mutzig Old Lager is 7% + and very strong, usually drunk in demi’s (half a pint) It has been seen to make the biggest and strongest of men cry, fall over and embarrass themselves beyond belief.  It is a brave man that try’s to drink it in pint form. You have been warned!!!!

The Pub is the most spacious and one of the liveliest bars in town, and certainly good fun. The pub due to its size provides the best choice in live music. The Pub also offers special promotion nights and regular happy hours. You can play pool, watch any big live sporting event or just dance the night away on toffee vodka.  There is also a nice sun terrace out the back for a relaxing après drink. Live music is on 7 nights a week.

A great and busy bar, described as “like your friendly local” There is a pool table, Sat TV showing all the major football games, great ski-surf videos and good music. Pub snacks also available all day. This is a very popular relaxing après-ski venue. After dinner it is usually heaving.

La Tavern is situated right in the centre of Méribel,  just a 2 minute walk from the piste and our Meribel apartment.  Open from 07h30 until 01h00, La Tavern caters for all tastes, whether you are looking for breakfast, lunch or a mid-afternoon snack. Food is served all day and night. The Cybar internet café gives access to 10 high speed terminals, WIFI available. Après-ski entertainment is assured with happy hours, big screen sporting events and live music. Throughout the day, you will always find something to suit your mood.

Arguably the best place to have après, especially towards the end of the season. You can sit and relax on the large sun terrace although outdoor heaters are provided on snowy days, while, enjoying the famous toffee vodka, available by shot or the bottle. Weather permitting the live bands play on the terrace, although après inside the bar is great and dancing with ski boots is a definite must. Located above the town of Meribel in Le Rond Point Area, just above the Adret 6-man chair, with easy access from the road or piste.

Next to Jacks Bar this is a chic and trendy bar and Internet cafe and an all round chill-out zone.   WIFI available. Use their computers and you can download digital pictures and burn them to CD.

Their breakfasts are the perfect way to start the process of working off the hangover you are left with after the previous night partying next door in Jacks Bar.

Situated in the centre of town, next door to the bakery, Barometer is a stylish and sophisticated bar with a relaxed atmosphere and great music. A modern and varied range of coffees, excellent wines, Mutzig Old Lager attract a discerning clientele who know where to drink. When live sporting events take place the plasma screens are switched on. The pool tables have their own area.  Last season on Wednesday nights the resident magician entertained all with literally unbelievable tricks.

Le Poste de Secours - Located in Meribel centre, this bar is Meribel's ‘posh’ establishment maintaining a welcome to all. It is French-run and is very popular with the ‘in crowd’ of locals and English alike. This is a great place to go and have a few drinks, while mixing with the locals. Le Poste has an interesting choice of international beers, wine & Champagne by the glass and a very tempting menu of cocktails for the more discerning poseur.

Scott’s Bar

Located right in the centre of Meribel below the Pub, Scotts Bar and Restaurant has a cosy atmosphere, with big sofas. Recently refurbished it is comfortable and roomy (although sometimes rammed full!) and is a more chilled atmosphere than the upstairs Pub with the live bands. It has a pool table for the hustlers amongst you. Music tends to be hip and funky. Scotts is a great place to feel the vibe.

Lodge du Village located in Meribel Village is an authentic Italian Restaurant with a lively lounge bar upstairs. A large sunny terrace and balcony make it an ideal spot for lunch whilst out skiing. This is an ideal choice if you are staying at Chalet du Guide. Méribel Village is situated around half-way between Méribel and La Tania just off the main road between the resorts. Access on snow is via the blue Lapin piste (all snow cannoned) below the Méribel Altiport. The 4-man Golf chairlift returns you from the Village into the main ski area. The bar is the latest venture by Debbie and Tim Wall, who run the popular Pub Le Ski Lodge in La Tania - another Three Valley institution and always packed!

They are committed to presenting you the best quality live acts in the Alps. Whether fat and funky or cheesy and chirpy they cater for all music tastes.Five minutes walk from the heart of Meribel, Dicks Tea Bar is the place to party. Early in the evening table reservations and VIP service is available and all cocktails are two for one until midnight. Food is available until 1am upstairs in the Pizza Express restaurant where there is also a mixture of live entertainment acts throughout the week including big name comedy acts, open mic nights and the legendary Patchwork with their Beatles act. Meribel’s most distinguished night club having a unique atmosphere. There are two areas, the largest being the busy dance floor and the smaller area at the back bar with its cozy atmosphere and comfortable surroundings. Whether you wish to relax at a table, or go mad at the bar this is the biggest and liveliest club in town. Found at Parc Olympique in La Chaudanne, this is the most popular nightclub in Meribel, where they play a mix of the most popular dance hits. This is the place to go if you're looking to dance and party the whole night long.
