What our guests say about Chalet Attila

“Hello, we have just returned from our stay and are happy to say everything was fantastic. The chalet was so comfortable and the location superb with excellent facilities, the bath, …hot water, the hot tub waiting to revive our snow tired selves. Our hosts Pete and Karolina were always willing to help and had a lovely calm manner a good sense of humour and seemed keen to join in with all the fun and to top it all were excellent cooks, making sure we were always full to the brim with excellent nourishing tasty food and the best cakes ever. There was plenty of snow the three valleys is a huge ski area offering a full variety of conditions some icy bits, some excellent squeaky stuff, some soft face planting slushy moguls, just choose your slopes according to the time of day and save some energy for the run home. We enjoyed the warm sunshine and the long light days so much so we had to come back by bus but its also free and another good service especially as you just have to have a beer while waiting ! Never guaranteed are the other guests, they turned out to be a real mixture of fun and interesting people, we had some great chats, strange stories and some good games. This is my first time on a catered chalet holiday and would love to return again and would especially stay at this chalet with Pete and Karolina, thank you so much for a wonderful holiday.” Read full review

“I spent a week in Chalet Atilla in La Tania last year and I guess the greatest compliment I can pay is that I stayed there with Alpine Action again …this year! It was really easy to book as the admin staff based in the UK are so friendly and efficient. The travel advice and resort information provided in advance is useful in giving an insight into the resort before you arrive. Travelling to La Tania we had a slight delay in taking off from Gatwick - but as that was due to snow falling in Grenoble we didn't really mind ! The coach transfer was easy and the flapjacks appreciated :) Chalet Attila itself is in an enviable position being almost ski-in / ski-out for all but beginning skiers as it is 20m or so from the edge of the run leading to the village centre and the gondola station. La Tania is a great base for skiing - one gondola and then a chair and the whole of the Three Valleys area opens up to you - turn left for the wide morale boosting slopes of Courchevel or right for Meribel and Val Thorens not forgetting the 'fourth' valley either. Choice of Red, Blue (nice) or a really nice Green (hmmmm...) run through the trees back to the resort (or take the gondola back down of course) Saving the best till last.... I don't know where Alpine Action find their chalet hosts but last year Emily & Jack were fantastic (good taste in music too!) and again this year Johann & Lucy were amazing - I was a little embarrassed at being the only veggie in the party but nothing was too much trouble for them and the quality of the meals (and the cakes) was outstanding - clean plates every meal! They were friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and kept the chalet clean, warm and welcoming all week. It was a varied group of mixed abilities, both skiers and boarders but it certainly appeared that everyone thoroughly enjoyed the week We were certainly fortunate in that somehow Alpine Action arranged for the snow to fall the day we travelled to the resort and to follow that with sun and blue skies for the rest of the week......... Would I recommend Alpine Action & Chalet Attila? - yes! Would I go back to Chalet Attila? - yes! Would I ski again with Alpine Action? - yes! ” Read full review

“One of the best companies I have skied with. Small touches made a difference, like water and flapjacks on the transfer bus and Mars miniatures and extra piste maps in …the boot room to stuff in your pockets on the way out to the slopes. Chalet Atila itself was comfortable and roomier than your average French chalet. Johan and Lucy were fantastic hosts with good knowledge of the resort, and their food was excellent. Even in poor snow conditions you could still ski to within 25m walk from the chalet's front door down a closed red run and it was treat to sooth aching legs in the hot tub at the end of the day. Would definitely recommend.” Read full review
