Chalet Hosts - A Couple or Two Friends

Are you a lively person and a food lover?

As a Chalet Couple you will live and work with your partner to run a successful and welcoming chalet holiday to all our clients. It is essential that at least one half of the couple have cooking qualifications, professional cooking experience or be under taking a chalet styled cookery course. This is so you are confident in providing your clients with delicious cuisine during their holiday. This includes a cooked breakfast; freshly baked afternoon tea,
children’'s high tea, canapés and a 3-course evening meal 6 days a week. You should be well presented with a flexible happy attitude. 

  • Passionate about skiing/snowboarding, cooking and entertaining, be able to confidently cook to a high standard for 6 nights a week for adults & children.

  • An approachable and friendly nature is essential.

  • You will need to create a warm, friendly ‘home from home’ environment in your chalet.

  • Keep the chalet to a high standard of cleanliness, we do a mid week room clean and towel change and a daily clean of communal areas.

  • Running a chalet has the responsibility of food and wine ordering, linen inventories and shopping, all of which is monitored weekly by Resort Administrator/ Management.

Independent Chalet Host/Cook

As an independent Chalet Host you will work as part of a team and live with other staff members, but you will run your own small chalet to provide a successful and welcoming chalet holiday to all our clients. It is essential that you have cooking qualifications, professional cooking experience or be under taking a chalet styled cookery course. This is so you are confident in providing your clients with delicious cuisine during their holiday. This includes a cooked breakfast; freshly baked afternoon tea, children’s high tea, canapés and a 3-course evening meal 6 days a week. You should be well presented with a flexible happy attitude.

  • Although driving is not part of the job, you may be required to drive a vehicle at some point and will therefore need to be over 21 years old (for insurance purposes in the EU)

  • Passionate about skiing/snowboarding, cooking and entertaining, be able to confidently cook to a high standard for 6 people for 6 nights - adults & children.

  • An approachable and friendly nature is essential.

Driver/ Handyman

It is one of the most sort after jobs in Resort. As an Alpine Action driver/handyman you should be smart and presentable at all times, with a “can-do” attitude. You will need to be able to think on your feet in a wide range of situations. You will work as part of the team in Meribel. You should be a confident driver and have worked in a recognised qualified trade.  You’'ll need to be over 21 years and have a clean full license.

  • Confidently transport clients to and from the airports and provide shuttles to and from the slopes at the beginning and end of the day.

  • Maintaining the properties in resort by performing daily visits and dealing with any repair/maintenance work required.

  • The transportation of client luggage

  • The distribution of wine and chalet linen, with assistance of recycling around resort.

  • Snow clearance and hot-tub maintenance around the chalets. 

Chalet Manager/Representative

Are you an experienced Chalet Host? Are you looking for a new challenge and progression?

This is a very sought after position and you could join one of the best teams in Meribel. Alpine Action is a highly respected Tour Operator in The Three Valleys. t. 

Our Chalet Managers look after multiple chalets and contribute to many of the aspects of their success. So the position can be diverse, developing  guest and staff relations, staff management and monitoring standards.

The Chalets Manager/Representative will be part of a Resort Management Team that is responsible for the operations of Alpine Action in Meribel and La Tania. The team is led by and must report to the Resort Manager and Resort Operations Manager, there will be two Chalets Managers and one Driver Manager supporting the team. The team is advised and further supported by the Directors of Alpine Action and the UK office staff.




You will need to be: 


  • Approachable and bubbly personality

  • Well presented & Highly organised

  • Good at problem solving

  • Kind natured and caring towards staff and guests needs

  • Hospitality Experience

  • Customer service experience

  • Competent Skier or Snowboarder

  • Previous Chalet Host or Resort Representative experience desirable  

  • Good working knowledge of French desirable, but not essential

  • Knowledge of the 3 Valleys desirable, but not essential

  • UK National Insurance Number and Bank account.

  • Driving license, held for at least 3 years and must be over the age of 21 years  

  • Completely availability for the role from beginning of December 2018 to end of April 2019.
