At the Abinger Cookery School, our signature Chalet Cooks Courses are like no other. We believe that one of the main elements of an enjoyable chalet experience is the consumption of good quality food.
Our intensive syllabus aims to give our students a thorough overview of working and cooking in a chalet, incorporating basic to intermediate cookery training, knife skills, menu planning, sourcing ingredients, budgeting, time management, meal service, and an overall general view of life in the Alps.
We will teach you the skills necessary for cooking for large numbers, how to be organised and efficient in the kitchen, so as to maximise your free time on the mountain, and how to maintain your chalet throughout the winter, to make your life easier on changeover days and at the end of season.
The family-run Avenue Cookery School is a London based school that specialises in 1 & 2-week long courses. They have a unique blend of professional yet relaxed teaching, covering all basic techniques through to sophisticated skills in order to fully equip you to fulfil your season with confidence and ease. They will also assist you to find the best job for you and your season. The Avenue are the perfect mix of knowledge, fun and future!
