After a days skiing in Meribel and the Three Valleys, and before you head back to your catered chalet in Meribel, enjoy an apres-ski drink in one of the many bars. Meribel is undoubtedly one of the liveliest resorts in the French Alps. Exceptionally popular with British skiers and boarders. Meribel has grown into an internationally famous ski resort and there's no doubt the resort has gone upmarket in recent years. Many of the traditional hotels in Meribel have been given the boutique treatment and the choice of bars and restaurants in Meribel has been greatly improved to cater for the influx of higher spending skiers.
Be warned the Mutzig Old Lager is 7% + and very strong, and always drunk in demi's (half a pint) It has seen the biggest and strongest of men and women cry, fall over and embarrass themselves beyond belief. It is a brave man that try's to drink it in pint form. You have been warned!
The iconic place in Meribel to have an apres ski drink. You can sit and relax on the large sun terrace although outdoor heaters are provided on snowy days, while, enjoying the famous toffee vodka, available by shot or the bottle. Live bands play on the terrace, although apres inside the bar is great and dancing with ski boots is a definite must. Located above the town of Meribel in Le Rond Point Area, just above the L'Adret 6-man chair, with easy access from the road or piste. There is some refurbishment going on this summer.

The Tav is one of the most popular bars in the area, with its dated interior and lager on tap the bar feels like an English pub! Open morning til late every day of the week, with Live music and a lively atmosphere, the bar is bound to be busy no matter the time. A fun and energetic spot for a bit of raucous late-night drinking, dancing and socialising.
Located just across from La Taverne, the Doron Pub is another Meribel institution with many locals heading over to the Pub after Tav has closed it's doors. Early on, the Pub can seem more relaxed with two pool tables to while away your time but from 22:00 to 01:30 it will get very busy and loud with either live music of local DJs playing til late.
L'Abreuvoir is located in an enviable position right in the centre of Meribel and is a firm favourite with Alpine Action. A cozy interior, a real alpine chalet feel, and wood and sheepskin furs, you can even sit inside an old gondola. There is also a small terrace outside. Plenty to choose from on their extensive drinks menu, with lots of different gins and cocktails and of course beer. They also have a great menu including a choice of tapas.
