Après Ski Meribel

After a days skiing in Meribel  and the Three Valleys, and before you head back to your catered chalet in Meribel, enjoy an apres-ski drink in one of the many bars. Meribel is undoubtedly one of the liveliest resorts in the French Alps. Exceptionally popular with British skiers and boarders. Meribel has grown into an internationally famous ski resort and there's no doubt the resort has gone upmarket in recent years. Many of the traditional hotels in Meribel have been given the boutique treatment and the choice of bars and restaurants in Meribel has been greatly improved to cater for the influx of higher spending skiers. 

Important Warning  - Mutzig - Old Lager 7% +

Be warned the Mutzig Old Lager is 7% + and very strong, and always drunk in demi's (half a pint) It has seen the biggest and strongest of men and women cry, fall over and embarrass themselves beyond belief.  It is a brave man that try's to drink it in pint form. You have been warned!

The Folie Douce 

The Worlds most famous on-piste apres-ski bar! The Folie Douce opened in Meribel Season 2013-2014. The legendary chain has venues across the alps. After an amazing day skiing the Three Valleys you can then party like you are in Ibiza, with live music and dance performances, The Folie Douce is a must for anyone, at least one time,  coming to Meribel. 
The bars and VIP area opens everyday at 11:00 and there are live stage performances at 13:30 and 14:40 and a live DJ until 16:00.

Rond Point des Pistes " Ronnie "

The iconic place in Meribel to have an apres ski drink. You can sit and relax on the large sun terrace although outdoor heaters are provided on snowy days, while, enjoying the famous toffee vodka, available by shot or the bottle. Live bands play on the terrace, although apres inside the bar is great and dancing with ski boots is a definite must. Located above the town of Meribel in Le Rond Point Area, just above the L'Adret 6-man chair, with easy access from the road or piste. There is some refurbishment going on this summer.

Lodge du Village (LDV)  - Meribel Village 

Well known for its warm and welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and of course the beautiful view.  Great menu and live music from 1600, the famous happy hour between 1600-1700.
If you chose après here you will need to get a bus back to the main town after après to get to any of our chalets. There is also a lift back up onto the slopes, but last one is from 1630.

Jacks Bar (was Meribar) 

At the foot of the pistes at La Chaudanne, Jack’s bar is back (formally Meribar) enjoy their sunny terrace and happy hour. Live music and homemade toffee vodka!
Serving up fresh nachos, dirty fries, pizzas and great apres cocktails, there is live music Monday to Friday from 1700 onwards

La Copina

Copiña has established itself as Meribel must-visit. An inspired cocktail and tapas menu, boasting a range of professionally designed cocktails, carefully hand selected craft beers, an array of world wines served by the glass, and an exceptional spread of traditional homemade tapas; there truly is something for everyone.

For people that have spent time in Meribel over the years, Barometer has grown to be a real institution. It has a contemporary restaurant, bar and lounge area and is a sophisticated establishment with a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Open from midday, Barometer has a wide range of wines, cocktails and beers including the infamous 'Mutzig' beer which any ski holiday goer knows is a classic!

​La Taverne "The Tav"

The Tav is one of the most popular bars in the area, with its dated interior and lager on tap the bar feels like an English pub! Open morning til late every day of the week, with Live music and a lively atmosphere, the bar is bound to be busy no matter the time. A fun and energetic spot for a bit of raucous late-night drinking, dancing and socialising.

The Doron Pub "The Pub"

Located just across from La Taverne, the Doron Pub is another Meribel institution with many locals heading over to the Pub after Tav has closed it's doors. Early on, the Pub can seem more relaxed with two pool tables to while away your time but from 22:00 to 01:30 it will get very busy and loud with either live music of local DJs playing til late.

L'Abreuvoir is located in an enviable position right in the centre of Meribel and is a firm favourite with Alpine Action. A cozy interior, a real alpine chalet feel, and wood and sheepskin furs, you can even sit inside an old gondola. There is also a small terrace outside. Plenty to choose from on their extensive drinks menu, with lots of different gins and cocktails and of course beer. They also have a great menu including a choice of tapas.

Dionysus is a typical French bar and featuring an extensive wine list and cocktail menu. Set in opulent modern luxury this is definitely the bar to head to for a sophisticated evening.

Lively bar for chalets in Meribel.

Situated in the centre of town, next door to the bakery, Barometer is a stylish and sophisticated bar with a relaxed atmosphere and great music. A modern and varied range of coffees, excellent wines, Mutzig Old Lager attract a discerning clientele who know where to drink. When live sporting events take place the plasma screens are switched on. The pool tables have their own area.  ​

Scott's Bar

Located right in the centre of Meribel resort  below the Pub, Scotts Bar and Restaurant has a chilled atmosphere, with big sofas. Recently refurbished it is comfortabl​e and roomy (although sometimes rammed full!) and is a more chilled atmosphere than the upstairs Pub with the live bands. It has a pool table for the hustlers amongst you. Music tends to be hip and funky. Scotts is a great place to feel the vibe.
