More about Chalet Alysson

What our guests say about Chalet Alysson

“We agree with other reviewers who have commented on the efficient booking system and excellent website. We especially appreciated the flapjacks and water on the airport transfer coach and the …chalet hosts who met us at the end of the road and helped with our luggage. Meals and afternoon tea at the Chalet were superb, plentiful and beautifully presented by our hosts Quinton and Lauren. We loved the kir with canapes, cheese board and selection of bottled wines. Nothing was too much trouble and any dietary request we made was accommodated and we were very well looked after. The chalet was very clean and warm but would benefit by the addition of some further personal touches by the owner. It was a bit squashed for 13 people in the living area. Boot warmers and and a sauna made all the difference after a hard days ski-ing. We would definitely return to this chalet as the hosting, food and wine was the best in Meribel after six years of experiencing various companies, this being the first with Alpine Action ” Read full review

“I had a good 'feel' about Alpine Action right from the start. The website was easy to navigate and had all the info I needed including details of the …chalet hosts (nice 'personal' touch) but when making a booking I prefer talking than 'clicking' so rang the office . My (many) questions were answered with friendly knowledge and guidance and with their help I eventually chose Chalet Alysson and am so pleased I did! With an early start from Gatwick the coach transfer always seem tedious as you often feel hungry. Sophie came round with homemade flapjacks and water which was a 'little' extra that was greatly appreciated. Once in resort we met our chalet hosts, Lauren and Quentin, who turned out to be a great team throughout our stay. Lauren was lovely - really friendly, efficient and quick to respond to any request whilst Quentin's culinary skills were 'restaurant' quality both in taste and presentation. There were other 'little' touches during our stay that made a difference - the bottle of Evian and Kleenex tissues on arrival, bath towels that actually covered my body and good quality wines (not vinegar masquerading as wine) served with each meal. Chalet Alysson has a great lounge area - the furniture is more up to date and cosier than the website displays and the size is perfect for pre and post dinner chat and getting to know your fellow guests. We had superb weather during our week so the large sunny verandah surrounding the living/dining area was an added bonus and most days found us sitting in the sun with a cup of tea looking up at the snowy slopes :) The Chalet is tucked away down a quiet cul-de-sac with a short walk up to the Morel lift with access to the Altiport and beyond or you can take the bus down to Meribel Centre and Chaudanne or it's a 10 minute walk down to the centre. By the end of an excellent week everyone agreed that Alpine Action's focus on Meribel and La Tania plus the level of service and facilities they provide make a great combination and we have already recommended them to numerous friends. Thank you all for a great week we hope to return next year. ” Read full review

“My recent stay at Chalet Alysson was my third in three years. I think that speaks for itself. It's a nice chalet in a very good location if you like …somewhere a little quieter but still well connected. Alpine Action as always had recruited some great staff this year and our chalet hosts Dan & Clare did a great job looking after us. The food was excellent and was always something to look forward after a hard day on the slopes. This was complemented by some very nice wines and then finished off nicely with a cheese plate and glass of port. Sophie is the resort rep and she is very proactive in making sure that everyone is happy. We arrived on 'chaos Saturday' when flights were delayed due to runway closures caused by heavy snowfall. We arrived at the airport 9 hrs late and the chalet at 01:30 next day. Sophie and all of the AA team worked extremely hard to get us to resort, feed us and then get us on the slopes by 10am next morning - amazing, hope they all got a huge bonus. I suspect that some of the larger operators would not have done so well. I can thoroughly recommend both the Chalet Alysson and Alpine Action if you're looking for a better-than-average chalet holiday in the 3 Valleys. I honestly can't find anything to fault them on. Nearly forgot - the UK staff are also superb and can answer most questions posed about the chalets, resorts etc. Thanks to all for a great week. I'll definitely be back !!! ” Read full review
