“We came as a family of four and arrived home yesterday...sadly!
2 of our party has been with Alpine Action before and we can all say this is the very best
…company any of have ever been skiing with!
The company are efficient and think of everything, the flights and transfers are on time and efficient making the whole experience really smooth and stress free.
Eric the coach driver was pleasant and small touch's like waiting until everyone was seated before we pulled off was considerate and appreciated as was his excellent driving up the narrow mountain roads. Sophie was our resort rep and was friendly, courteous and very efficient. She sorted out all our ski passes on the coach and gave us all the information we needed about our hosts, chalets and ski hire. She then handed us all freshly baked flap jacks and bottles of water for the journey down as due to traffic problems our journey was expected to be 5 hours! However, due to Eric's expertise he took a different route and got us there in 2.5......what a great start!!
We then were dropped off at Chalet Azalee where we met our hosts Sam and Oonagh and were shown to our rooms. The rooms were beautifully clean with lots of storage space and a modern en suite bathroom. The beds were very comfortable and the sheets and towels were soft and bright white!
Our hosts were so brilliant that we wanted to bring them home with us! The food was some of the best we have ever had and very plentiful. The selection of wine was lovely and the home made cakes were excellent. Not only that both Sam and Oonagh were great company, efficient and nothing was too much trouble for either of them. They worked so hard and were perfect hosts, we will all miss them very much.
We were collected by Jim who took us to collect our ski hire from North Face and all that we hired was perfect and we had no issues with any of the equipment and staff were friendly and efficient. Jim then collected us and took us back with the skis and our beers, wow what a service!
On Wednesday, Sam and Oonagh had a well deserved day off but left us a wonderful continental breakfast. Sophie also popped in earlier in the week and arranged our booking for a meal out at 'Evolution' restaurant on the recommendation of Sam and Oonagh.....the food was out of this world.
We had the most amazing skiing and weather the whole week. There is an abundance of chair lifts and everywhere is very accessible with lots of places to eat and drink throughout the 3 Vallees. We skies to every area and couldn't fault the resort in any aspect. We managed to end up at The ROND POINT BAR where we enjoyed jugs of beers and live music before going the short walk back to the chalet for delicious home made cake and tea.
The Morel lift is a short and easy walk or you can get one of the frequent free buses to the Jardin if you want.
I can easily say that this was a perfect holiday with a fantastic company, I can't think of a bad thing to say and anyone who travels to this resort with this company is going to have an amazing experience..... especially if they get Sam and Oonagh!” Read full review
“Just back from a really great week in Meribel in Chalet Azalee. The best thing about it was our wonderful chalet hosts, Emily and Rob. Catering for 13
…of us was a big ask (especially as two of the young men were 6'7" and ate like horses!) but they did so with calm and efficiency. The accommodation was great, with plenty of room and comfort all round. The short walk every morning to the Morel Lift was easy. All in all I would thoroughly recommend Alpine Action to my friends.” Read full review
“Never stayed in a chalet before. Previous ski holidays have been in a hotel but this holiday week was truly exceptional. Everything was taken care of (ski pass, food, room,
…etc). Really got a chance to put our feet up. Well worth the money.
For starters the staff were incredible. Emma and Bee are brilliant hosts. They fulfilled our needs and were great company. It was really sad to say goodbye. The food was incredible - cooked by the in house chef Bee - (morning porridge a must try). Getting to the snow was easy. Although late in the season a short walk up the hill got us onto a lift that would take us to the well wanted snow. What was really great was being able to come back after a long day skiing and have a freshly made cake waiting for us with a cup of tea. I really wish I could bake like these girls can. We had to be careful and not over eat (however, failed almost every time) as the 4 course meal in the evening was exquisite. Chocolate fondant a favourite.
Our room was cleaned very day and was top notch. I don't know how these girls do it - cook, clean and stay so upbeat while also squeezing in time on the slope. We were quite a demanding group with being so many of us. They were so much fun and I wish them all the best. ” Read full review
