Pricing
Single Travellers & Empty Bed Supplements

All prices are based on two people sharing a room; the standard single room/empty bed charge is the shown price less £300. On some occasions this could be more of less for an exact price please call 01273 466535 or email us at sales@alpineaction.co.uk
We have a single room en-suite room at Chalet Alysson in Meribel that doesn’t have an empty bed charge; this must be booked with at least one other room.

What are the taxes charged for?
£30.50  -  Airport Tax if flying per person 
£9  -  Resort Tax (Adults only)
£2.50  - APC (ATOL Protection Contribution) if flying per person

Are there discounts for children?
There is a 15% discount for children under 12 years of age. Infants are £195. There are also some rooms that will allow an extra bed in their parents room, please discuss this with the UK office 01273 466535 if you would like details or a price.

Do your prices include ski passes?
Our prices DO NOT include ski lift passes. We do offer an individual pass price around 15€ cheaper if book with Alpine Action. They are also delivered to you on the coach or at the chalet, so no trip or queues to the lift pass office are required.

What does the price include?
Our holidays include 100% Financial Protection, flights, return transfers, fully catered chalet holiday, resort staff and management services. 

Are there discounts on Ski Passes ?
You can pre book with us and save 15 Euros per adult. They will be ready for you at the chalet. There are discounts for families, children and seniors. Please see our Lift Pass Page. Payment on arrival in resort.

Which payment methods do you accept?
We accept a BACS (online transfers), Maestro, Switch, Debit Cards are free of charge or Visa and MasterCard (2.5%)  Unfortunately we do not accept any other cards.  Please note for last minute bookings we only accept card payments

What is the deposit?
£200 per person per week on all dates. Full payment of the holiday is required if less than 10 weeks to departure

When is the full balance due?
10 weeks prior to your departure

Flights & Transfers

What is my luggage allowance?
Hold Baggage per person is 20kg and hand allowance is 10kgs

The hold luggage can be two separate bags say a boot bag and suitcase/bag.

Hand Luggage
One piece of hand baggage no bigger than 56 x 40 x 25cm no heavier than 10 kg

Skis & Snowboard Bags
You will need to book prior to your departure, as there are limited places on the flight
(£54 per bag return) this is subject to maximum weight of 20kgs per bag.

Infants
Allowance - 10kg

How long is the transfer from the airport to the chalet?
The direct transfer is about 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Are there meals included in my flight?
No but you can buy hot and cold options on board.


Which terminal am I flying from?
LGW  (Gatwick) is from the South with our Monarch flight
MAN (Manchester) is from Terminal 2 with our Monarch flight
BHX (Birmingham) is with our Monarch

Can I fly from a different airport to what you are offering?
We are able to book flights from Bristol, Leeds Bradford and Edinburgh. These are on request and subject to availability and supplements.

Independent Travel

Is there discount for independent travel?
Yes, on most weeks the discount is £120 per person, but can be more or less.

The amount and availability may differ on reduced weeks on on weeks where we have an excess of flights. 

What time can I arrive at the chalet?
You can arrive at the chalet early if you wish to ski the first day and leave your luggage. We can have your ski passes ready and waiting.  We welcome you into our chalets and will provide you with an area to change in, but do ask that you are understanding and flexible as we may still have client already there, you will need to vacate the chalet for the day, as our staff will need to prepare the chalet for your weeks stay.

Do you provide directions to the chalet?
You will find directions to the chalet in your booking area under the documents tab. We ask that you call the chalet when you are in Albertville so that your hosts are aware of your arrival.  Numbers are on the “How to find Chalet ……. “

Documents

I can’t log into my booking?
You will need the email address of the party leader or the agent you booked with. Also please make sure booking reference is correct including letters, numbers and full stops. Still having problems? Please call 01273 466535

Do I need a boarding pass?

All you need to do is print of your e-tickets, you will receive your boarding pass when you check in at the desk.

Do I need insurance?
Yes Yes Yes! You must have travel insurance when you book your holiday, it is vital that you have a comprehensive policy to cover all your winter sports holiday requirements. We highly recommend Fogg Travel Insurance for the Three Valleys. Single policies start from only £22 for 10 days cover. Book your comprehensive winters sports cover here.

Do I need a photo for my lift pass?
All ski passes are proximity passes and do not require a photo.

Chalet Information

I have special dietary requirements, what do I do?
Please let us know and we will do our best to cater to your needs.  Please see Our Cuisine page 

Are toiletries provided?
You will find a small complimentary selection on arrival, so dependent on use you may wish to take some of your own.


Are hairdryers provided?
There are hairdryers provided in all chalets.

Are towels provided and are they changed during the week?

A guest is provided with a bath and hand towel. Towels are changed mid-week.

What drinks are included?
Tea and coffee is available to you throughout your stay. There is a selection of fruit syrups. We have a choice of four quality wines with your evening meal.

Is childcare included?
Childcare is not included. We welcome children in all our chalets and can provide a cot, highchairs and a selection of toys. We can help with arranging babysitting. There are a lot of options for childcare, crèches and private nannies. Private nannies are allowed in all our chalets.

What happens on the staff day off?
A continental breakfast will be provided and you can still enjoy afternoon tea. Our representative will see at the start of your stay to recommend and book a restaurant for your evening meal.  Wednesday is the staff day off (During Christmas & New Year and 03 January short break it will be Thursday these weeks)

Can you bake a cake for a birthday?
Please make a note in your party details or contact us in the UK office if you are celebrating a Birthday and we can arrange for a cake to be made and balloons for a small charge.

Skiing

Are there discounts for ski hire?
There are pre-booking discounts for all Alpine Action with all the Ski Hire shops we recommend. Book online prior to arrival and get up to 20% off

Do I have to wear a helmet when skiing?
Children should all wear helmets and ski schools will insist. For adults, it is a personal choice and not obligatory in either resort. Most people do wear helmets; you can hire a helmet at any of the shops.

Do you offer ski guiding?
We do not offer Ski Guiding; it is still illegal in France. You can always book a guide with a ski school or for something a little more adventurous, such as off piste then it is recommended you use a guide with the appropriate safety equipment.

Will there be snow?
The Three Valleys is a snow-sure resort. There is an enormous amount of ski areas and choice of runs. The Three Valleys is well known and best at the maintenance of the slopes and clients return year after year for this.  We cannot guarantee the weather. Our staff are happy to advise the great spots they have found on the mountain. They do have 50% coverage of snowmaking in the Three Valleys.

I want to ski off piste …
We do recommend using a guide to get the best of what is to offer, this is for safety as well, there are a number of choice of ski school offering this with the appropriate equipment. Please contact ski schools direct for prices and information.
