“We are a family of five and we had a weeks skiing holiday with Alpine Action staying at Chalet Azalee in Meribel. The chalet is really wonderful. Well
…laid out with the reception area at the top of the chalet and the bedrooms on the floors below. The reception room; kitchen, dining area and sitting area was very large, spacious and light. There were sliding doors leading out onto a veranda which gave beautiful views of the mountains.
The bedrooms were clean, very warm and well laid out. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were spacious. There was lots of storage space.
The boot room was very spacious, with plenty of room for boots, ski's, snowboards and coats. The chalet was full, with 11 people in total and there was plenty of room for all of us to get kitted up every morning.
Our hosts, Oonagh and Sam were the most excellent of hosts. They were friendly, helpful, sociable, courteous, warm and attentive. They both worked very well as a team and we were all very well looked after. The food was truly excellent. The meals were generous, beautifully cooked, varied and tasty. Nothing was too much trouble for Onnagh and Sam and they both continually went that extra mile to make sure that we all had everything we wanted and needed.
Chalet Azalee is very well situated for either the complementary bus down into the town centre or a short walk to the Morel lift to access the slopes straight away. In the evenings, if we needed to, we walked into Meribel village and it is only a 10 minute walk.
We loved our chalet, our hosts and also Alpine Action who are a very easy, helpful and professional company to work with. We will be booking again for next year with Alpine Action. ” Read full review
“Never stayed in a chalet before. Previous ski holidays have been in a hotel but this holiday week was truly exceptional. Everything was taken care of (ski pass, food, room,
…etc). Really got a chance to put our feet up. Well worth the money.
For starters the staff were incredible. Emma and Bee are brilliant hosts. They fulfilled our needs and were great company. It was really sad to say goodbye. The food was incredible - cooked by the in house chef Bee - (morning porridge a must try). Getting to the snow was easy. Although late in the season a short walk up the hill got us onto a lift that would take us to the well wanted snow. What was really great was being able to come back after a long day skiing and have a freshly made cake waiting for us with a cup of tea. I really wish I could bake like these girls can. We had to be careful and not over eat (however, failed almost every time) as the 4 course meal in the evening was exquisite. Chocolate fondant a favourite.
Our room was cleaned very day and was top notch. I don't know how these girls do it - cook, clean and stay so upbeat while also squeezing in time on the slope. We were quite a demanding group with being so many of us. They were so much fun and I wish them all the best. ” Read full review
“We are are group of 8 young professionals with a long-standing tradition of organising an annual ski tour. Despite our experience this is never an easy task but Alpine Action
…managed to make this as pain-free as possible!
We had an incredible week in Chalet Azalee, Meribel, very well looked after by our chalet hosts Oonagh and Sam.
Meribel and the three valleys ski area did not disappoint and we couldn't have been happier with our choice of chalet. Chalet Azalee provided ample space for the occupancy, all well appointed and maintained in an ideal location. Two minutes walk from the Morel chair, ski back to the door and a short walk into town.
Our stay was only enhanced by the fantastic chalet hosts. Not only did Oonagh and Sam provide the best chalet food I've ever had but they were attentive, sociable and great fun! - These two definitely deserve 'chalet of the week'.
I look forward to ski tour with alpine action 2015.” Read full review
